Our Boer cross meat goats are reared on grass or hay, supplemented with locally grown cereals on our farm in County Durham, in the north east of England. We use a minimum of antibiotics and chemical wormers. Slaughter is carried out at a traditional village butchers in Greenside, about 20 minutes drive from the farm. Use of this small-scale operation ensures the minimum of stress on the stock and contributes to the quality of the product. At times of high demand, we occasionally purchase goats from outside our own herd. We buy them direct from the farm, not auction marts, and transport them ourselves, thus ensuring our standards are maintained and enabling us to absolutely guarantee that we are supplying the best possible quality goat meat to our customers.
